Description: LaVerne and Shirley are living proof that two are better than one and they will keep you laughing with their comedy routines. These affectionate sisters are 3.5 years old but still have a lot of kitten inside of them. They are happy, active cats who are interested in whatever is going on and are prone to occasional attacks of the 'feline crazies!' They love attention and will come to you looking for it, inbetween playing with toys, imaginary or otherwise, and observing everything going on in the world from a high perch in a cat tree or elsewhere.
LaVerne is a gray (dilute) tortoiseshell and Shirley is a dark, almost black, tortie. They are a dynamic duo together so have decided against splitting up. These girls were initially adopted as kittens by a woman who later needed to move to an on-site job location at which pets are not permitted. LaVerne and Shirley waited anxiously in foster care for some time and then found a new home in March of 2008. They were never entirely comfortable with the 2 young, extremely active children in this household, but were coping. Now, the family is being ripped apart by divorce so Laverne & Shirley are back in foster care and looking for a home again. This time, they are hoping that they will finally find the home in which they will be happy and well-loved for life.
The Cat Shack, Inc is a 100% volunteer organization. Every penny donated goes to paying our vet bills, caring for our cats in foster care and low cost spay/neuter programs. Our adoptions fees don't come close to paying the bills. Please help us to continue to help animals in need. The Cat Shack is a 501(c)3 organization so donations are tax deductible.
